Published in The Perfect Man Style Magazine. Fashion Editorial by Sergio Maiis

One of my recent fashion editorials was published in The Perfect Man Style Magazine, featuring international model Borja Pastor. The project was created in Istanbul and combines cinematic fashion photography, masculine aesthetics, and an industrial atmosphere inspired by classic garage culture and modern luxury fashion campaigns.

For me, publication in international magazines is not only about visibility but also about building strong editorial storytelling and creating photography that feels timeless, emotional, and visually powerful.

The editorial “Under the Hood” was photographed and produced in Istanbul using a raw industrial location filled with metal textures, workshop details, dramatic lighting, and minimalist styling. The concept focused on masculine energy, body aesthetics, cinematic shadows, and fashion-inspired posing. The result became a visual mix between luxury editorial photography and contemporary male fashion campaigns.

Istanbul has become one of the most exciting cities for editorial fashion photography because it offers a unique combination of modern fashion culture, historical atmosphere, luxury hotels, industrial locations, rooftop views, and cinematic streets. This allows photographers and creative teams to create international-level fashion editorials without limitations.

As a fashion photographer based in Istanbul, I work with international agencies, models, brands, influencers, and magazines to create editorials, campaigns, and creative visual stories. My work combines fashion aesthetics, cinematic atmosphere, and emotional storytelling with a strong focus on details, lighting, and styling.

International publications such as The Perfect Man Style, KALTBLUT, and other fashion magazines help showcase not only the final images but also the creative vision behind each project. Editorial photography allows much more freedom than traditional commercial work and creates stronger artistic identity for both photographers and models.

The “Under the Hood” editorial with Borja Pastor became one of my favorite projects because it reflects the visual direction I love most: masculine fashion, cinematic mood, industrial aesthetics, and natural emotions.

Working with international models and magazines in Istanbul continues to inspire me to create fashion stories that feel modern, stylish, and visually unforgettable.
